How do I cook healthy meals for a family of 7 and work full time. I find myself looking for looking for easy meals/fast meals or eating fast foods, which I know are not good for my family.
Use the weekends to plan out your meals for the week and to make sure your kitchen is well-stocked with a variety of food. You don't have to make every meal from scratch. Frozen seafood, stor bought roasted chicken, pre-cut vegetables and frozen fruits and vegetables are good for you and easy to use.
If there is a most important meal, it must be breakfast. Research shows that kids who eat breakfast on a regular basis fare better on tests overall. Quick healthy meals include complex carbohydrates, calcium and protein as well as fiber. Some options for variety include whole grain breakfast cereals with fruit, egg and cheese burrito, vegetable omelete with hashbrowns, oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins.
