Use the weekends to plan out your meals for the week and to make sure your kitchen is well-stocked with a variety of food. You don't have to make every meal from scratch. Frozen seafood, stor bought roasted chicken, pre-cut vegetables and frozen fruits and vegetables are good for you and easy to use.
If there is a most important meal, it must be breakfast. Quick healthy meals include complex carbohydrates, calcium and protein as well as fiber. Some options for variety include whole grain breakfast cereals with fruit, egg and cheese burrito, vegetable omelete with hashbrowns, oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins.
Consider having healthy foods with you at all times so you are prepared if you can't spare the time to eat a more elaborate meal. Some suggestions are canned soups, cup of noodles, yogurt smoothie, frozen low fat entrees, crackers and canned tuna (packed in water), fresh or canned fruit, yogurt, nuts and dried fruit, vegetables and peanut butter.
